Research and Concept Development
We started by brainstorming and creating a moodboard, drawing inspiration from existing Monster ads and edgy style ads. Our research emphasized the unique aspects of vertical 9:16 content. Once we decided on the project’s direction, Juan crafted the storyboards.
Filming Process
We shot the ad in a photography studio using an electric lazy Susan to spin the Monster can, adding water for a fresh-out-of-the-fridge look. Additional footage included shots of the can falling into a fish tank and creating a smoke effect with acrylic paint.
Post-Production and Conclusion
In post-production, I handled effects like glitches, duplicating cans through masking, and syncing the footage to the chosen music. Juan added lightning bolt effects, enhancing the ad’s energetic vibe. The collaboration resulted in a powerful, engaging advertisement.
